Silly putty in the hair. Please help!?

My friends daughter got blue silly putty in her hair and it dried up and it has been in her hair for a week. They've tried everything but it won't come out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Use rubbing alcohol or baby wipes.

I know this sounds weird --but have you tried peanut butter?? I once got a wad of gum in my hair and someone told my mom to put peanut butter in my hair and the gum would come out ----The gum slid right out of my hair!!! Good luck to ya and I am not kidding --it really worked!

Yes, I recommend peanut butter too. It works for gum as well..

Try baby oil

Hey you.

Try Baby Oil, or Olive Oil. Let it soak in to dissolve the putty. Or and "Orange Solution" to dissolve the oils. Once it gets all nasty and "gum" like, they can comb it out and begin to rub the areas in the hair to dissolve the putty. I know it takes a while. Peanut butter may also work, but they have to leave it in for a couple of hours to let it "absorb"", and then voila!

You can comb out as much as you can and then begin to wash it out. apply again, let it absorb and follow the process. -- Take Care, Laura
