When my older sister was 13 she was aloud to die her hair and I asked my mom if I could die my hair when I was 13 and she said yes, she promised and my mom asways keeps her promises. And I don't think it helped that I wanted it diped, that is where you dip your hair in the color and olny die that part of your hair.I wanted it purple or blue or someting like that but she said NO and I have tried to talk to her but she wont listen to me. So what do I do?

i think that is a neat idea. make sure your mom understands it's not permanent, and buy a temporary or wash-out color (like 8 washes or something) that might make her feel better. when i was younger i used jazzings by clairol. dipping is harder than it sounds though, you might want to get someone to help you if your mom says ok.

another option would be setting up a goal and asking your mom if dying your hair could be a reward. maybe you could volunteer once a week somewhere neat like an animal shelter!

listen to her. if it were me i would have done it by now because whateevr if i did it i did it, my mom would get over it and so should yours. but i dont knoe your mom. so i guess you should listen to her. purple/blue too crazy for her maybe. ask her if she would let you do brown. and see what happens. did your sister dye her hair colors like purple or blue? i think if you give your parents some time, they will eventually let you dye it those colors. maybe ask to get natural colors, and when they get used to you coloring your hair then ask again for those colors.

maybe purple or blue is too extreme. start of with a natural color. if ur hair is brown, for instance, dye the tips blonde or something. she only worried about you, dying your hair will damage it.

if youre not allowed 2 dye it a color its probably because your mother doesnt want u doing something to your hair you'll regret. try something more realistic, maybye blonde highlights?? a different type of haircut??? layers?? people will judge u if u have an actuall color like red or blue in your hair and your mom probably doesnt want that for you. i understand your situation though, i want to dye my hair a color too but my mom is the same way. how about agreing on getting straight a's and if u do you can get the bottom 2 inches colored red and u promise 2 get the color trimmed out of it in 3 months or something like that so u can see if u like the color. u have 2 cope and make deals so your BOTH happy. hope this helps!!!!

umm first of all get your hair highlighted with light tints of purple or blue so it is not very noticable and then progress slowly and it will wear on them.but personaly why would you want to die your hair those colors???Because it can ruin your hair.
