well i've got shoulder lenght hair that black with deep blue highlights at the moment..

i am now thinking of getting purple highlights next time instead of deep blue..

the bule highlights are suttle and are only noticable when in the sun..

the purple will stand out all the time..

considering i am a 34 year old single mum...

You should do whatever you want to do! I like Anne Bancroft in the Graduate but that was a white streak. That looked very nice. I wouldn't get streaks of purple, what about only one wide streak of purple? If it's all highlighted, it might look as though it was a mistake because sometimes you see people with purple hair and it's a mistake. You could be sophisticated and cool with one thick purple streak on one side of your head like Bancroft in the Graduate.

I think getting purple highlights in your black hair sounds awesome. I always thought purple%26amp;black looked better than black%26amp;blue. You should go for it!
