I have dirty blonde hair (long and growing out bangs) and blue eyes, and I was thinking it would be cool to dye my hair dark brown on the botton and keep it blonde on the top, would that look bad? or dye it auburn or just put auburn streaks in it...does this sound good or should I just leave it be?

The two tone thing is kind of trashy. If you want to experiment try a semipermanent color or high or lowlights.

Ok...I bleached my hair and dyed it with Punky Colour semi-permanent in Atlantic blue...it came out livid and bright and it rocked, but for career purposes I had to tone it down, so I dyed it with two rounds of permanent black hair dye.

Well, it's now navy blue (after a few washes) the black only darkened my colour, and I want to get rid of all the blue so I don't get fired. Is it safe to bleach it, or should I dye it black again, or should I just leave it? For some reason the black doesn't seem to stick to my hair...help me....

Ok, I would suggest a soft neutral brown eyeshadow with a clear mascara(lip smakers makes this) No blush, it cloges up your pores and may create acne or a zit. A sheer lipgloss will top it off! Hope this helps!

Reconsider dyeing your hair black because it will clash with your light skin tone and it won't look good. If you want something darker though try dark brown with lighter brown or blonde highlights. As for your eyes-i suggest green,hazel or blue. Green will probably stand out the most though.

if you want blue black hair you have to buy blue black dye.

theres also "pearl black" which is just regular black that shines a lot, "purple black" which is a purply red sheen and "natural black" that is dull and doesnt look died[boring and you probably wont notice much of a difference].

the blue black is by far the hardest to get out, but lasts a lot longer (an its the nicest).

Use a womens hair rinse, i dye mine allllll the time and i use loreal preference (i think) it has a pale girl with short blue black hair, walmart carries it (its like13$ cnd), that dye is the best in my opinion, and ive used probably ever black rinse possible.

If your hair is almost black I would recommend black/brown eyeliner. If it's a medium to light brown, go with regular brown. It also depends on the color blue of your eyes. If they're really bright, go with the lighter. Darker or more hooded eyes, go with the darker. Hope I helped!

Ok, I had black hair for over ten years, yes, I was punk rock/goth, so please know that the wash out black hair die... DOES NOT WASH OUT! It is the only temporary color that is actually permanent, and henna does not come out either, it's worse. Try a really dark brown, the darkest you can find, it actually looks like black sometimes.

I don't know what color pulse is so I may be totally wrong about that stuff, I just want you to know that the "washes out in 24 shampoos" is b.s!

I know you asked about make-up colors but I just wanted you to know that if you go black, in my experience, I had to cut my hair and use bleach to lighten it up to get rid of it!!! Black hair dye - temporary or not - does not wash out. It may lighten slightly to a muddy black, but it will stay black. Blue black like what you have may lighten to a muddy greenish gray black- and not in a nice way. Be very very sure you want to dye your hair black before you do it, because the only way to fix that is going to be to bleach it out and dye over it. Use a dark brown instead, it will look black.

Makeup depends on your skin color and hair color combined.. and any colors looks good with black hair. If youre doing blue-black you may want to stick to cool colors like blue, purple, %26amp; pink instead of warm colors like orange %26amp; red.

It really depends. Hair color and eye color depend on other traits as well as what the parents contribute.

Eyes....your boyfriend has blue which looks like this bb you have brown eyes, which could be one of two....either Bb or BB. It depends on what genes you got from your parents. If you have Bb then you have a 50% chance of blue and 50% other. If you have BB then you will most likely have a brown or green eyed child. But like I said, color depends on more. A brown eyed couple who are both BB could potentially have a blue eyed child if anyone in their direct past had blue eyes, like a parent, grandparent, great grandparent...and so on. Since it is recessive, it can be hidden for many generations.

The same goes for hair color. Darker is dominant. Now, having said that, I have green/gray eyes and my husband has light blue. We both have medium brown hair. We have two daughters. One has red/blond hair and very pale blue eyes. The other has brown hair and deep blue eyes. He has two other children with brown haired women, and those two kids are blond with blue eyes.

i think that going very blonde ppl @ ur school will only talk about it ... i think either dirty blonde((almost brown)) or just a light light brown is better... if u decide to dye ur hair u want to make sure u pick a color your roots won't show through because continually dying ur hair will damamge it! and last of all... yes dye ur eyebrows.... hope this helped u!

Don't lift your hair more than 2 shades if you want to stay natural. Make yourself a light brown and you won't have to dye your brows (which you should only leave to a professional, you can easily blind yourself with haircolor!)

I think you should not dye your hair completely but just a simple highlight. A simple highlight will just be a small change and will not feel sorta weird. You can also try a color that will go with your dark brown hair at the beginning, so family and friends can accept your change easily. Being a twin does not mean everything has to be the same. im 17, i've been shaving for nearly 2 years. I'm of middle eastern decent, so as expected, i tend to grow hairs a little faster than my age group. If you look at the picture below, you'll see the RED is where i currently shave, as other guys do too. If you look at the BLUE, that is where other hairs have grown, but i've hesitated to shave them because i dont want them growing back there darker and faster.. They're becoming more and more noticable, as i've only 'trimmed' them once, and they'r almost 2 cm now!(estimate).... my parents told me to not do anything to them, and they'll just 'fall out'.. Now, obviously that doesn't happen with hairs, they barely ever just 'fall out' until im 50 or w/e..... so what can i do,, shave them? wax? what are all my options?

If you would want permanent hair removal, there are two options. There is electrolysis. A hot needle is inserted into the root of each hair folical to kill the root. The other is laser hair removal. I've only heard of this being done on women but I'm sure men could have it done also. I am female and have had both done. Just some ideas.

dont worry about it, just shave it like you normally shave your other facial hair!

BUT if it IS bothersome to you, then wax it so it comes in thinner and in less spots.

You can wax or shave the unwanted hairs, but they will come back. The source that I looked at explained different reasons why hair might be growing in that area. A good alternative to remove the hair is electrolysis. All you have to do is have a few periodic treatment and then the hair should not come back. My mom had her eyebrows done this way and has not had the unwanted hair come back. Good luck!

The blue in Aquamarine is much more difficult than people are letting on. Blue is sooooo hard to get right and no matter what...within a week it will be fading green...unless it isn't washed much. The thing is you hvae to lift the colr to themaximum....it has to be done to the pale, pale cooked spaghetti color. This is important because evenlemon yellow will result in shades of teal. Thean once lifted to the right degree a semi-permanent like manic panic Midnight is applied. You can use heat.....or just leave it on a long long time. Either way I gaurantee you it will be a pain in the butt. Go to a salon for best results.....Then you have some recourse and can stay there till they get it just right. If this is your first time around with Manic Panic....and your girl just wants a couple streaks...Pay someone to lift her hair and get it blue....You can touch it up at home by yourself with more MP.....ever y couple of weeks too keep it fresh.

aww, thats cute. i love that movie. if you go to a target or any drugstore theres ussaly a selection of colouring products. look for the crazy colors (rtheyres more because of halloween.) if you cant find any, wait a little while and go back to the drugstore. Coloring/highlighting your hair is fun! xD I suggest that you go to a hair salon and have a professional to get it done. Although it might be more expensive, you can be assured that it'll be /blue/ (not green) and there will be less chances of it messing up (which happens often...at least, to me). If you want to do it yourself, you can go to your local drugstore/pharmacy and purchase the kits. There should be a section devoted to them (with all sorts of colors, but I'm sure you will find blue). You can also order these kits online. There will be pictures and diagrams that show you what color your hair will be based on your original hair color. Please take note of these. Make sure that her hair is properly cared for after it is colored/highlighted, or the color will fade faster and you'll be left with a very light color or a totally different color. while they are cool at first, keep this in mind...pink will fade extremely fast..like within the first week, and it won't be as noticable....blue will fade to a greyish color if it even gets the desired blue to start with...

Blond hair looks great with bright colors in it. You can do any color, and it will be a nice contrast/statement. I have two daughters, one with dark brown hair and the other one with medium blond. My blond daughter wears blue and bright green clip-in hair extensions, and my brown daughter loves the hot pink and purple (the purple does not show up as well). I buy them on EBay from the seller called "allmycloset" for about $22 for six high quality extensions with secure clips. Here is the link to her store:

Speaking from experience, and way before the market had these clip-in extensions, brightly colored hair streaks were hard to maintain for me. If you have not died your hair, why do it if you do not have to? If you use the clip-in extensions, you can take them out when you are in situations (as with my daughters at their grandparents' house) that you might receive grief about them and wear them whenever you want. In addition, the color stays in the clip-ins really well, and you can curl them, straighten them, use color protectant shampoo, etc. - just as you would regular hair (because it is human hair). Hi everyone. I'm new here!

I have a question... my hair is a medium auburn colour, slowly turning to a brown shade.. I have had my hair dyed blonde for well over a year now and would like to go darker... I was thinking a medium brown. Nothing too dramatic since I'm pretty white. I have blue eyes. I've been getting my blonde hair done at a salon all this time but this is getting expensive. What I was thinking about doing is getting a box colour (a brown shade) and doing it at home. Just wanna know if there's any things I should look out for? What shade will my hair turn out to be? Or should I maybe reconsider... Not sure how my hair will turn out if I dye over the blonde hair, I don't wanna screw up my hair.

A chestnut brown shade will make your eyes look very blue! If I were you, I would get my first colour done properly at a salon as the bleached areas are going to be more porous and they will have a better idea of the end result colour - if you do it yourself, you will probably end up with a colour totally different from what you expect. After they have coloured it properly, you can do it yourself when it next needs doing, and it will only be "topping up" the existing shade and you'll get what you expect.

Just a note though: if you have a lot of parties and things coming up, be absolutely sure it's the colour you want as a drastic change can take a bit of getting used to, and there's nothing worse than having to go to a heap of social events not feeling confident about your hair.

For the inital change I would suggest going to a salon, then doing the upkeep with OTC hair color. any major change should be left up to the pros. right now your hair is blonde, whatever color you go over the blonde with wil be lighter then how it apepears on the box. depending on how blonde your hair is it could be considerabley lighter.

As a hairdresser, I wouldn't recommend dying your own hair at home, especially when you already have chemicals/treatments on it. As with any lightening process, your hair will be lacking in moisture and drier in certain areas more so than others. These areas will soak up more of the dye, making the final outcome look patchy. Book an appointment at your salon for the initial colour and then just use the DIY kits to touch-up your roots. But don't tell my boss I said that ;)

If you want to do a box dye, I would recommend L'Oreal Feria in a warm, medium brown shade. Blonde hair is always tough to penetrate with a box dye, so depending on the condition of your hair, you should leave it to set for the entire duration recommended, I usually leave it 10 extra minutes. If you're light skinned, the warm shade of brown will bring out colour in your face, at the same time not making you look pale. Avoid ash brown, stick to something with a golden hue. Good Luck!!

if i was changing my hair colour then i would get it done properly first as they can do what they know will work, if your hair is already dyed then it may come out different and a hairdresser should be expecting that. then i would buy a box product maybe a recommended one? and then ask a friend to help me with coverage and stuff! but always do a tester and always follow the instructions. also, put a line of vaseline around your forehead to stop dye marks when and if it runs on to your head! good luck! x

Its VERY RISKY to dye bleached at home. Wen i did that at home, hair turned partially ORANGE! :D I mean like high-lighter orange....So had to bleach it AGAIN to take out colour.....bla bla bla...and then became brunette after that. I wud advise u to do that at a saloon, coz if somethin goes wrong at home, later - its gonna take a while to fix it. (plus will cost more) If u r sensitive to chemicals...hair might get a bad chemical shock. I almost went bald coz of that home stuff!!! lol

P.s.: If u have longer than shoulder length hair....one box of hair colour isnt gonna be enough for shizzle!! :D goodluck hun

What ever colour you want to go make sure that you dye your hair with a reddish brown first before going brown. I have done it myself I was platinum blonde the advice was given to me by a hairdresser other wise if you just go for brown with an ash tone your hair can go green to make sure it has a red tone to it then you can dye over it if you wish. be very careful, make sure you put a reddy brown on first and then put another colour over tha, reason is brown wont take over blonde it will make your hair go green!

I'm a hairdresser, and before i qualified many years ago, I went to a salon (which i now own) and asked for a spiral perm, but was a little unsure because i had a few blonde highlights in my very long hair... she made a complete mess of my hair, it was a mass of frizz and cost a fortune... took 12 months to sort it out... I always do a full hair diagnostic and chat to my client about their wishes b4 i perform any treatment now or a trim/cut.. But its amazing how many hair corrections we do everyday from other not so caring hairdressers..

I totally hear you. I've had the same problem for years.

I've finally found something that works for me. I use Paul Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo. Expensive, but marvelous. It has menthol so it exposes the scalp. AFTER that, I use Head and Shoulders Intensive Treatment (The orange stuff, best you can buy over the counter). Lastly, I use the Tea Tree conditioner to moisturize.

If that still doesn't work, it's time to see a dermatologist and get a prescription. Don't stop until you get it fixed. Unfortunately, people react very negatively to dandruff, especially if you're young, and assume things about you that can hurt you socially and professionally.

its greasy because its so dry its producing more oils than needed, i wouldn`t use dandruff shampoos they only made matters worse for me, try using loreal kids 2-in-1 and scrub your scalp with oyur fingertips (not nails) really really well. good luck!

Don't stop using head and shoulders! Try to use the one that has the pink background, Its a smoothing one and also use the same conditioner, it makes a big difference! Don't put any serums or moisturisers onto your scalp as it will make it worse. If it has just started doing this recently it could be a number of things such as stress, bad diet even a bout of eczema or similar. Unfortunately our hair and our skin are always the first to show these problems.

get loads of hairspray (a good string one) and a very strong spray gel (i would recommend fructis style hard gel spray extreme) and a liquid gel or putty or wax (i recomend VO5)

then hold up the front section of hair and straighten it upwards (if u kno what i mean) then spray the living **** out of the roots and run a small amout of wax/gel/putty thro it [put it on ur hands and run thro a couple of times] and wait untill its dry before letting go of it.

carry on doing this all round the sides and the back so its all sticking up at the bottom and floppy at the top then put a small clear hairband in tightly to keep it there.

[at this point u will hav a strange kinda sticky up bottom extra extra volumized pony tail sorta thing]

then straighten the ponytail part with a flick so it goes out a bit more and then spray it with the hairspray and run a small amout of gel thro it

if it isnt stickin out enough or if u want it to have more volume backcomb and spray it some more so it will be SUPER volumized and funky.

then spray it with the gel spray (i recomend fructis style hard gel spray ultimate hold extreme)

then u can colour it with the pink hairspray.

this will work but im not sure if i explained it all that well

Backcomb it all...with hairspray, then smooth the top layer back into the mad pointy bit...use some sugar mixed with water to smooth it down...that is what punks with mohicans use...sets really hard. Spray it pink last.
