Okay, so I have really dark hair almost black, I Want one blue and one green streak in my hair. But kind of underneath, like you could only see them when I put my hair up or something. I just wanted to know if I would have to do anything prior, like do I have to bleach my hair before I do it??

Yes you will want to bleach it first. I have very dark hair naturally and when I was coloring it blue and purple I would use a powder bleach with a 30 volume creme developer and FX color.

Bleach the strands til they are almost white and then dye.

I'm not sure but i thought that if you leave it in longer then the bluer (Sp) it gets, i dont think u have to die it white before hand

I have an even better idea for you...go to the hair salon and let the professionals streak your hair. Can you afford to mess up your head and be stuck with green and blue stripes in places you did not intend? Be careful!!

I just dyed my hair 15 minutes ago! I went purple! Well, its more like a purple glaze . . . anyway, yes if you have dark hair and you want the blue and green to show up well you have to bleach it. Good luck!

if you want your streaks to be very very intense and bright then yes you should just bleach the parts you want streaked. Cause your hair is so dark you will only be able to tell in the sunlight and extremely lighted places! It will also be just a tint nothing drastic!! I've died my whole head fire engine red b4 omg it was crazy! i bleached it first! i dont recommend that one tho! good luck!

Yep, you'll have to bleach the strands first. You don't have to go completely white, but a light shade of blonde will do. Make sure to carefully read the instructions for the bleach, and when in doubt, don't do it and get some help. You can usually find online help, or call a hair salon and they can tell you a bit about it.
If you're still looking for a good dye, try Manic Panic! It's a great semi-permanent dye, and lasts a while depending on how long you let it set in for. if you want permanent dye, try Raw. Not as many color choices, and I've never personally used it, but I've had friends say it's pretty good.

You're gonna have to bleach your hair where you're going to dye it. The color will turn out muddy if you don't, and it won't even look like the color it's supposed to be. Good luck! :D

Yep, bleach them. I've gone a ton of streaks in my hair.
Follow instructions of bleach kit. Put the hair you want to dye on foil and apply the bleach, then close the foil so the bleach stay only where you want it. How long you keep it on depends on the instructions, but it's a good idea to check on it every fifteen minutes until it is light blonde.
Wash out the bleach and dry. Apply dye. Wash that out and make sure you condition. How long you keep in the dye depends on what you use. Special Effects only requires fifteen minutes.
I recommend using Special Effects dye. Do not use Manic Panic. I used Manic Panic for a long time because it was cheaper, but you have to keep it in your hair for a lot longer AND it doesn't come out nearly as bright or lasts as long. As soon as I started using Special Effects, everyone complimented how bright the color was.

Yes you would have to bleach your hair and then dye blue and green over it. If you want only one streak of both..then maybe it's not worth dying your hair if you're only going to do a little bit. But since you like it..go for it!
