Fancy Dress Hair!?

me and my cousin (both 18) are going to a fancy dress party as jesse and james (team rocket) off pokemon and have the outfits sorted, but need some help with the hair!

we have some pink and blue hairspray for the colour, and i can do james' style easily, but jesse's hair is really huge! (see pic below)

I'm quite good at styling hair, but really have no idea where to start! It will be a shorter version of the real thing as my cousin has just below shoulder length hair

get loads of hairspray (a good string one) and a very strong spray gel (i would recommend fructis style hard gel spray extreme) and a liquid gel or putty or wax (i recomend VO5)

then hold up the front section of hair and straighten it upwards (if u kno what i mean) then spray the living **** out of the roots and run a small amout of wax/gel/putty thro it [put it on ur hands and run thro a couple of times] and wait untill its dry before letting go of it.

carry on doing this all round the sides and the back so its all sticking up at the bottom and floppy at the top then put a small clear hairband in tightly to keep it there.

[at this point u will hav a strange kinda sticky up bottom extra extra volumized pony tail sorta thing]

then straighten the ponytail part with a flick so it goes out a bit more and then spray it with the hairspray and run a small amout of gel thro it

if it isnt stickin out enough or if u want it to have more volume backcomb and spray it some more so it will be SUPER volumized and funky.

then spray it with the gel spray (i recomend fructis style hard gel spray ultimate hold extreme)

then u can colour it with the pink hairspray.

this will work but im not sure if i explained it all that well

Lots and lots of hair spray and maybe some gel.

Backcomb it all...with hairspray, then smooth the top layer back into the mad pointy bit...use some sugar mixed with water to smooth it down...that is what punks with mohicans use...sets really hard. Spray it pink last.

mix some wallpaper paste and backcomb the hair while applying the paste then set with hairdryer

I would just tease (backcomb) it a little to get it a bit bigger and then sweep it all off to one side and then really spray it into place. Also, try using a styling lotion in it first as well if it won't behave.

set your hair with steam rollers. or hers. cause mine sounds the same length as hers.

Straighten the hair, put a hump at the top, spray the hump with a colour hairspray, and spray the ends of your hair the other color.

You'll have an exotic look.
