Can I bleach my dyed hair?

Ok...I bleached my hair and dyed it with Punky Colour semi-permanent in Atlantic blue...it came out livid and bright and it rocked, but for career purposes I had to tone it down, so I dyed it with two rounds of permanent black hair dye.

Well, it's now navy blue (after a few washes) the black only darkened my colour, and I want to get rid of all the blue so I don't get fired. Is it safe to bleach it, or should I dye it black again, or should I just leave it? For some reason the black doesn't seem to stick to my hair...help me....

As a hairdresser, take it to a professional, you could wind up burning your hair off. What you've done so far is really damaging. Tell them exactly what you did. Usually when coloring hair it doesn't matter what dye you have it, you always go with what your natural color is to get the right results. The color is absorbed into your cortex of your hair but some dyes can intefere with others, dependin on if it's a metallic dye or other types.

Take it to a professional. It will cost a bit more, but they can FOR SURE cover that blue. I thought I wouldn't be able to get my hair red but when I got it profesionally done it actually stuck. It is well worth the cost. I wouldn't reccomend re-bleaching it so soon because you might damage your hair. Good luck!

You shouldn't bleach it. All this dying and changing of your hair is damaging. what you can do is get those boxes that dye your hair for six to eight weeks. It will get rid of the other color and in six weeks you'll have your regular color hair.

i think you should bleech it and then dye it black or whatever hair color you had or want thats not blue haha. but make sure you dont dye and bleech your hair too much because the chemicals in it are not good at all for your body. if you must dye and bleech your hair, avoid putting the chemicals on your scalp because my mom did it once and then her head was hurting and it looked like puss coming out. it's not pretty. she went to the doctors and they said the chemicals burned her scalp. so be careful
