I have dark brown hair and I used to dye it purple. But, I had to bleach my hair so that the color would show up. I wouldn't recommend bleaching unless you know what you're doing. I never messed up my hair, but it makes me sad when others do. The blue dye would probably not be very blue unless you bleached your hair out.

well they say red and blue make green .if i was u i would analyze on that and say is this what i really want .if u like blue that much get a blue wig and see if that is what u really want.before u go and dye it that color.

Try a few stripes of Crayola Washable markers before you dye. It'll give you an idea and wash out if it sucks.

The semi-permanent "punk" colors do not cover existing hair colors well, and as they fade, they turn all sorts of funny colors. If you keep it touched up, though, it can look good.

However, the best way to have a "punk" color is to completely bleach your hair, then apply the color. It seriously damages the hair, but you can get a brilliant color that way.

Another option would be to bleach and dye only the tips, then you can cut it off if it gets yukky.

red + blue = purple. I'm not sure that applies with hair, but to be safe, try stripping some of the color out of it first before applying blue, that way you have a clean slate to work with. However, when I was a teenager, I used to dye my hair all the punky colors (before it became really "normal" to do that) we didn't have as many options, now it's a pretty trendy thing to do so there are much better products out now. My hair is naturally light so the colors always came out really bright....experiment, it's fun!

Redheads are super hot on their own...BUT I had my hair every color in the rainbow so I'm not gonna preach. Here is how you do it...first off, you will have to bleach your hair. You need to lift to a pretty light shade, don't worry, it will still look a bit red...kinda strawberry blonde. Then you need to use a semi permanent like Scream by Rusk ( this is AWESOME!) or Manic Panic, slap on the color and leave it on for 25 min. You will have to retouch quite often if you shower on a regular basis. If you lift your hair light enough before applying the color, it will look the way it's supposed to; BLUE. If you just slap the color on over your red...it's anyone's guess as to what color you'll actually get. It would probably be a dingy purple, not vibrant and not pretty at all.

You are going to have to bleach it first to get rid of the red, that way the blue color will take very well and be actually blue. Good luck

I advise you it would look great if you got a white skin ! so go for it !! just go for a good hair dresser cause im my salon what I do is i dry the hair diffrent shades of blond first then i do the blue or black blue depends on what the customer wants and i usually end up with a very happy satisfied costumers , soo good luck :)
