Im bleaching my hair tomorrow, and I have always used Quick blue.Last time I bleached my hair,I used a oil bleach,it worked better and left my hair in better condition than it was before.I can't remember the name of what I used.Does anyone know the name of a good oil bleach that I could get from sallys beauty supply? The parts that im bleaching are dyed black and I want to get them to a medieum or light brown.Im coloring natural red over.(Please don't tell me to go to a salon,I am not going to a salon,Ive been cutting, dyeing, bleaching,my hair for years and I am confident in my skills). Thanks!
Question about hair bleach.?
I would first get Color Delete (can get a similar type at sally)
Use that to remove the dye pigment of the black. Don't use on roots, only the colored stuff. Then you will need to "fill" your hair. Pick a color close to your natural, apply it with 10 volume to the ends of your hair where the color was removed. Then go ahead and proceed with the color you were going to apply.
Using color delete is way more effective and less damaging than bleach.
Get a tub of "beyond zone" Hair masque (also available at sally). Apply to hair after all done, cover with plastic and leave on through the nigh (sleep in it) then wake up and rinse. Do this as a deep conditioning about every 5 days. It will help repair your hair.

Question about hair bleach.?
I wouldnt if I were you. I am a Master Stylist of 7 years. I think its best that you visit a salon. If you have tones of red and black (which by the way, are the hardest to remove) you will be a VERY UGLY orange and brassy unwanted tone. I can guarantee it. Secondly, you will not see all the areas that we can see standing over your head. Quick Blue has to be the worst over the counter bleach there is!! If you are going to remove color yourself, you may want to try a color remover; thats another option. For the amount that you will spend fixing it over the next 3-6 months, its best to let a professional work it for you. Good luck.
