i recently colored my hair purple bt it turns blue after a couple days. i did everything the way ur suposed 2. i bleached it out then followed the directions on the bottle. i think the brand isnt very good so does anyone know wat the best hair dye brand is, how much it is, and where i can get it. not online though.

I've tried all kinds of colors of hair dye. The colors like that just don't work out to well. Dye your hair something more natural. Those colors always fade out and turn into something else. They also look trashy.

Manic Panic in NY/east coast and Crazy Colors on the west coast. These are semi-permanent hair dyes. It is very difficult finding a color like purple in a permanent dye. The colors available in the above brands are gorgeous, but you will have troubles like fading onto anything your head touches (pillow cases, towels, the back of the couch) and it will run down your face if you get caught in the rain. You probably already know that, though!

To keep the color from fading/changing, you have to redo it often, like every few days. This is because it is semi-permanent. If you heat process it, it should last a little longer which is why it might be a good idea to have it done, although you can do it at home. Ask about heat-processing it at a beauty supply store, which is probably where you'll have to buy it.

If the dye you used already is Manic Panic or Crazy Colors, that's as good as it gets, I think.
