I am a uni student looking for part-time work. Would it be better for me to find a part-time job first (which is proving hard) or go ahead with my planned hair dying of bright blue beforehand?

What would you do? Would you do the same for a tattoo or piercing?

Depends on the job. If your looking for a job at a bar or club I doubt they care. If however you are trying to get a job at somewhere professional such as a financial firm they will laugh at you once you exit the building.

Do NOT dye your hair blue! You will look like a blue smurf! NO Tattoos or piercings, you will have a even more difficult time finding a job. Companies want people who are well groomed! Blue hair, tattoos and piercings do NOT fit into this category!

I would go ahead with the job even though its hard to find one, but dying your hair wouldnt be good before then because what if you dyed your hair then a job opening comes. The blue hair wouldn't be a good impression.(well depending on the job). But still dye it after.

It depends on the job. If it involves face-to-face service with all types of customers, blue hair would be really bad. No matter how nice of a person you might be, some people would find you unapproachable because of your hair.

I think you should get a job instead of dyeing your hair. What benefits are you gonna get from it....as far as getting a job, you'll get paid and then do whatever you want with your money. That's what I think.
